"... Immerse yourself in the endless dimensions of the micro and macro dimensions of the world and stimulate your senses, we will guide you on our artistic journey with which we want to leave a mark in infinity... see you!"
The exhibition “Infinity” will be set up in the SP Gallery at Trg zrtava fašszma 1 in Zagreb, and the ceremonial opening of this cultural and artistic event will begin at 8 p.m.
A real artistic treat awaits us this Friday, August 30, 2024. Artists Dijana Čović and Marijana Podgorelec will exhibit their artistic paintings and photographs that will not leave anyone indifferent.
Two artists, colleagues and friends – Dijana Čović and Marijana Podgorelec, with the exhibition they named – Infinity, are trying to bridge the limits of their own finitude and leave a mark on eternity through artistic creation. One does it with a picture, the other with a photograph, but both find inspiration in nature and its elements: in the sea, sky, earth, stone, flowers and trees. In the symbolism of their shapes and colors, in the metaphor of their existence, in the presence of their essence in all of us. The process of painting and photographing is a transformation, a mystical esotericism that is both a gift and a fate. She asks you to bare yourself, to expose your intimate intention, to take risks.
It is especially interesting for us to see the artistic side of our editor in the Program for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia of HRT, Dijana Covic, who balances successfully between these two worlds, bringing in every bit of touch with the other, which is part of her creativity and energy with which she approaches every undertaking. Art is what becomes the world, and our Diana shows it in all fields of activity.
Infinity – infinity. A term known to everyone (or at least we think so) that denotes that which has no limits, that which is without end and end, immeasurable.
Marijana Podgorelec together with Dijana Covic provide a true visual pleasure with their work, which stems from their perceptive subtlety and distinct sensibility for everything that surrounds them, this time in a theme that touches on timeless values based in the divine and everything created by it, in fact in eternity itself.
Embodying the invisible in the visible medium of photography, with a fascinating play of light and manipulation of its effects,
It was introduced into philosophy by Anaximander as a term for the boundless substance from which the finite forms of the material world arise. And it is found in the ultimate itself, it permeates it and enables it to exceed its inner limit. Actually infinity and no limits. It also has its own symbol. It is a lemniscate – a closed loop that symbolizes the connection between the divine and human worlds. It is shrouded in mystery, with its roots probably in religion and alchemy, making mysterious and unfathomable to the human mind every action by which we try to get closer to that eternal and perfect dimension from which everything originates. Is the universe infinite, and does it last forever? Is eternity only an attribute of God, or are we also heirs created by Him and from Him?
4 elements of the world
The paintings show a dramatic and sculptural interpretation of the four elements of the world — water, earth, air and fire. Elements of water and air are subtly incorporated into the plaster texture, with thin lines and waves intertwining with larger forms, creating a sense of fluidity and movement. Earth is represented by strong, solid forms at the bottom of the painting, which give a sense of stability and thoroughness. Between all these elements, fire stands out in the middle, with passionate red and orange tones spreading across the surface, creating a dramatic contrast with the darker parts. The combination of colors and textures creates an intense visual dynamic, reflecting the power and harmony of natural elements in constant conflict and balance. This image evokes a sense of raw energy and constant transformation, inviting the viewer to feel the strength and connection between all elements of the world.
